America’s Got Talent comes to Newark

The hit NBC series "America's Got Talent" will have a fresh new perspective from the East Coast. The summer's top-rated series will broadcast live two nights a week from Prudential Hall at the NJ PAC beginning in July. Radio Personality, Howard Stern joins the show as a judge along with Howie Mandel and Sharon Osbourne and Nick Cannon as host.

According to NJ.com and other reports - Howard Stern agreed to join the show if it originated from the New York-New Jersey metro area. Maybe Newark will be hosting even more shows - like X Factor last year at the PruCenter.

The NJPAC will hold an audience of 2200 fans for each show.
