Annual Cherry Blossom Festival - April
Branch Brook Park
Over 2000 cherry trees come to alive for this annual festival in mid-April - larger collection than Washington DC. The events leading up to the festival include a fun-run, concert and bicycle tour. The event culminates with Bloomfest, a day filled with Japanese cultural activities, arts & crafts, performances, boating, kiting and family fun.
Portuguese Feast - June
Ferry Street
The largest ethnic festival in the state celebrating the rich Portuguese culture of the ironbound. Held the beginning of June runs all day with street vendors, live music and much more.
Lincoln Park Music Festival - July
Outdoor music festival celebrating jazz, gospel, house music and hip-hop. Includes ethnic foods, arts & crafts and more. Also includes skateboarding, golf, basketball and double dutch clinics.
Brazilian Indepence Day Festival - September
Held shortly after Labor Day in Riverbank Park to listen to Brazilian Music and enjoying cultural dining delights.
St. Gerard Feast - mid October
St. Lucy's Church at 118 Seventh Ave
Event includes a spiritual procession, Italian music and a feast of Italian foods including zeppoles and calzones.
