Brick City Comedy Revue Debuts Downtown

Comedians and Newark residents, Justin Williams and Steve Serra, are bringing laughs to Newark on the last Thursday of every month with The Brick City Comedy Revue debuting this Thursday, April 24 at 9pm at Kilkenny Alehouse. Admission is Free (with no drink minimum) and the monthly event will showcase locally-based talent and national headliners alike.

"The Brick City Comedy Revue appeals to anyone looking for a laugh," said Serra, an Ironbound resident. "We invite all Newark residents, college students and even people from neighboring towns to come to Kilkenny Alehouse on the last Thursday of every month to check us out."

Comedienne Calise Hawkins will headline the Revue's April 24th debut. Hawkins has appeared on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on NBC; "Russell Simmons Presents Stand Up at the El Rey" on Comedy Central; "Stand Up In Stilettos" on the TV Guide Channel; "Gotham Live" on AXS TV; two seasons of "Last Comic Standing" on NBC and more. Other comedians for Thursday include: Dina Hashem, Matthew Jenkins, Gordon Baker-Bone, Corinne Fisher, and Doogie Horner .
