Forest Hill House Tour 2013

The beautiful houses near Branch Brook Park in the Forest Hill Historic District will be open for a walking house tour next Sunday, October 13, 2013 at 1pm. The last time the Forest Hill Community Association did the House Tour was in 2006.

The tour "The Jewel of all Newark Neighborhoods," will be conducted by 79 year young,historian and preservationist Elizabeth Del Tufo. A longtime resident of this community, Ms. Del Tufo will focus on the architectural elements of the exterior and interior of a variety of homes as well as local lore.

Tickets may be purchased on-line at the Forest Hill Community Association's website in advance for $20 and $25 at the Ballantine Gates on the day of the tour. The Gates are located at the intersection of Lake Street and Ballantine Parkway. The walking tour will start promptly at 1:00 PM rain or shine.

Due to limited space, it is suggested that tickets be purchased on the website to avoid disappointment.
