Free Immunizations for Newark students 2013
The city's annual "School Bus Express" program begins today, Monday, August 26, 2013. The program will continue through Friday, September 20, 2013, with extended evening clinic hours to ensure Newark children receive their required immunizations before starting or returning to school.
Immunization services will be offered at the Department of Child and Family Well-Being, 110 William Street, in Newark's Central Ward. Please note that due to the Labor Day holiday, the clinic will be closed on Monday, September 2. Program hours are:
Monday through Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Extended hours, 8:30am-7:00pm on the following days:
- Tuesday, August 27
- Thursday, August 29
- Tuesday, September 3
- Thursday, September 5
- Tuesday, September 10
- Thursday, September 12
- Tuesday, September 17
- Thursday, September 19
Immunizations are free for Newark residents. Parents and guardians bringing their children for immunizations for the first time are required to have a copy of the child's immunization record, parent/guardian identification, and proof of residency such as a current utility, telephone, or cable bill, dated within the last 30 days of visit.
