Funeral to Bury Violence in Newark

I know funerals usually aren't our thing to promote, however "The Funeral" on October 27, is a community organized initiative to illustrate "the impact that the senseless violence and killing surging through our city has on every resident and to organize a collective stand in support of community healing and renewal."

At 11am (be on site at 9:30am), the procession will start at a location of significance in each ward (see below for locations). Everyone will arrive at the Lincoln Park at the same time, where a service will be held that consists of: youth speakers, remarks from the event organizers, impact statement from victims' families, and tributes from local choirs and singers.
