This year Gay Pride Week is bigger and better than ever. Below are the events that make up this year's Gay Pride Week.

PRIDE KICKOFF: Halsey Street Wine Tasting
Wednesday, July 18th at 5:30PM - 8:00PM,
The Artisan Collective | 25 Halsey Street
Join the Pride Committee for a wine tasting at a new locally LGBT-owned business to kickoff Newark Pride. This event has a fee of $20.

PREMIERE of The Durls, a New Gay Reality Show Starring Four Local Actors
Wednesday, July 18th at 8:00PM - 10:00PM,
Coffee Cave | 45 Halsey Street
Your new best friends are closer than you think. The Durls can be everyone's best friends. - redefining the world one "Durl" at a time. -The Durls, a new gay reality show, will screen an episode at the Coffee Cave as part of the Newark Pride kickoff. Free.

FLAG RAISING at City Hall
Thursday, July 19th at 5:30PM
Newark City Hall - 920 Broad Street
The 6th annual LGBT flag raising at Newark City Hall kicks of the week with the official endorsement of Newark Pride Week by the Municipal Council and Mayor Cory Booker. The flying of the flag marks a celebration of our community that empowers all its members. This year we will include a mixer following the closing of the ceremony. Free.

Religion & Sexual Identity: Panel Discussion
Friday, July 20th at 6-8PM
Paul Robeson Hall, Rutgers-Newark
There will be a panel discussion on Religion & Sexual Identity with individuals representing the Islamic and Christian Community, followed by a reception with refreshments. All free.

PRIDE FILM FESTIVAL
Friday, July 20th at 8-10PM
Paul Robeson Courtyard, Rutgers-Newark
This year we will hold a film screening of two very popular and critically acclaimed films; Brother Outsider & Pariah, outside the Paul Robeson Center. Food & Drinks will be served. All free.

PRIDE FESTIVAL IN THE PARK
Saturday, July 21st at 11AM-9PM
Weequahic Park (Route 22 and Meeker Ave)
This year's Pride Festival will be in collaboration with the 14-year running Community Cookout hosted again by the legendary Ms. Theresa. Festival will include FREE locally-catered soul food for the first 100 people, featuring Lydia Milian Famouz and alive DJ. The festival will feature a variety of vendors including LGBT agencies, service providers,local businesses and advocacy groups at an event with food and live entertainment for 10 hours. Entertainers include a combination of local, homegrown and regional talent with a focus on performers who are members of the Greater Newark LGBT community. There will also be a mini ball that evening! All Free!

INTERFAITH SERVICE
Sunday, July 22nd at 1PM
L.I.T. Unity Fellowship Church - 11 Halsey Street
Pride's interfaith service will again feature a service with Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders that is inclusive of all.

PRIDE FASHION SHOW
Sunday, July 22nd at 6:30-8PM
Barat Foundation - 765 Broad Street
This year's pride will conclude with a fashion show of interpreting symbols within the LGBTQ community into style and artistic expression! This event has a fee of $20.
