Global Mala Creator to visit Newark

Global Mala NJ that is coming September 23rd - just got better! Shiva Rea, the woman who created Global Mala will be the co-keynote speak with Mayor Booker. This will be her first visit to the Garden State. Those who attended Global Mala four years ago at St. Philips Academy might have caught a glimpse when the organizers skyped her in.

Global Mala was conceived by Shiva Rea as a way to help raise awareness and funding for some of our world's biggest issues. Shiva calls herself the catalyst for this project as she helped to inspire and bring together thousands of people from around the world to create a HUGE PEACE WAVE in 2007.

Since its inception six years ago, this annual event has helped so many wonderful organizations around the world from AIDS, War, Poverty, Environment, Children, Education and more.
