Global Mala NJ 2012

Global Mala NJ is coming up and we at NewarkPulse are excited to be a Media Sponsor. 2012 is gearing up to be exciting and powerFULL (as it is marketed).

This year on Sunday September 23, Global Mala will be hosted at the new $24M Newark Schools Stadium and can accommodate more than 1000 attendees. In the case of rain, it will be held at Science Park HS.

Global Mala is an event for all - adults, children, vendors, yogis, drummers, teachers and more. There is a suggested donation of $27 for adults, $5 for children - the first 250 that sign-up will receive a gift bag of goodies. This is a truly community event so no one will be turned away if you can't do the donation. Donations will be supporting a variety of NJ-centric organizations like Newark Now, Barat Foundation, All Stars Project, Newark Yoga Movement and many more.

The morning ceremony includes opening with Mayor Booker and guests and 108 rounds of OM. Adult events include sun salutations, chair yoga, poses to live music and more. Children's events include yoga, drumming, art project, peace dance and other surprises.

In the afternoon, there are breakout sessions that include Yoga+Karate, Core Fusion Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga of Tao, Acro Yoga and Meditation.

A Yoga Mart will be available for all to visit with tasty foods, yoga vendors, massages, farm market and more.
