Guard DAvant Music Festival 2014

Newark's own, Peter Hadar, owner and creative director of The Honors Program, is excited to bring new energy to his city by launching the first annual Guard d'Avant Music Festival at the newly renovated Military Park.

Starting tonight and each Wednesday evening in July, The Honors Program will be featuring alternative, burgeoning and eclectic artists. The after work festival is designed to attract early adapters, tastemakers and youth to experience the vibrancy of "New Newark."

Below is the complete line-up for the festival with links to sample their music. Some highlights include DJ Uniiqu3, a female DJ who recently performed for the Red Bull Music Festival and the AfroPunk Festival; Peter Hadar who has been featured on Billboard, Huffington Post and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart; and Starchild who is featured on Solange Knowles compilation album.

The festival will also include a photography and video installation by Hycide.
