Harlem Shake Newark Style
In case you haven't heard of the Harlem Shake craze - The Harlem Shake is a dance move that originated in 1981. It has been brought back into the spotlight in the last few months by musical artist Baauer with his song of the same name (it is not the same Harlem Shake of the 80s). This new rendition has gone viral (see all the knock-offs on YouTube). Basically the video lasts about 30 seconds, at the beginning there is one person dancing to the song alone with others not paying attention. After about 15 seconds, the entire crowd does a crazy convulsive dance for the remaining 15 seconds.
Below are some renditions done in Newark. If you know of others, email us the links.
