Help Newark Print Shop
Newark Print Shop was open for a little less than a year when a fire in the building forced them out. They have recently found a new location at 304 University Avenue and have begun demolition. In the words of founder, Lisa Conrad, "I want to develop a space that if you have an interest in the fine art of printmaking, you can come and experience it and be a part of a community of other printmakers."
There are just a few days left in their indiegogo campaign and are nearly at half their $5000 goal. The money is needed to help cover the initial costs of building out the new space with plumbing, track lighting installation, contractor fees, and construction of workstations as well as purchase additional equipment.
The new location would afford us the much-needed space we require in order to grow some of our programs, including a key-holder membership program, adult education through classes and workshops, exhibition programming, and a 4-month residency program.
In exchange for a donation, the Print Shop is offering some unique perks like handprinted tote bags, tshirts, hats and of course one-of-a-kind prints.
