High School Student Collects items for Weequahic Park
High School freshman from Northern Valley Old Tappan, Jordyn Goldzweig, noticed garages in her neighborhood were full of unused sports equipment. She made flyers and walked her town and neighborhood and left a donation bin on her front lawn. The response was overwhelming! She even called local recreational programs that contributed as well.
In only a month, she collected over 500 items to donate to the Weequahic Park Sports Authority. The items are going to be used for Weequahic Park's summer programs for children.
Jordyn plans on expanding her outreach to additional towns and schools and providing the equipment to Weequahic Park.
