Hotel Indigo Digital Competition

Hotel Indigo is coming to downtown Newark - their brand is known for mural-sized "digital wallpapers" inspired by the local community. They are seeking submissions to celebrate the history and culture of the city.

PROGRAM:
- Design one cohesive story for a key aspect of Newark's history - murals will be created using original photography or graphic design
- Each floor has 9 to 13 rooms and each room will have an original mural that is part of the overall story for the floor.
- Final mural will be 8'8" x 8'6" and submissions should be adjusted to fit the final size. The final mural will be produced in vinyl and adhered to the wall.
- Each artist will be juried by the Newark Arts Council. Final selections contingent upon decision of the developer.

Parks, Airport, Worship, Arts & Entertainment, Sports, Neighborhoods, Schools, Industry, Famous Newarkers, Transit, Inventors, Architecture.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
Due no later than 5pm on September 7, 2012.
All images selected become the property of Hanini, but artists will maintain the copyright to reproduce the images for personal use. Unaccepted submissions will not be used or stored. Please submit the following items.
- Minimum of 15, Maximum of 20 images per concept
- Should be 28" x 28" with 300 dpi
- Must be in JPG or TIF format in CMYK
- Contact info, resume, artist statement
- Narrative of your story 500-1000 words
- Limit of 2 concept submissions per artist

COMPENSATION:
Artist(s) selected for final execution of murals will receive a stipend of $1250 per floor
