Hycide at the Museum
Akintola Hanif is creating again (See past articles about him here and here. This time bringing his events to the Newark Museum to create HYCIDE (the name of his magazine) At the Musuem - a day of family fun, children’s activities, music, culture, poetry, film and much more.
The schedule below will have Brooklynites traveling to Newark this Saturday, June 27.
MUSIC & PERFORMANCES:

KIDS ACTIVITIES:
Explore the featured exhibits, "Royals & Regalia" and "My Rock Stars" through a variety of hands-on activities facilitated by certified Newark Public Schools teachers.
"Make and Take" craft sessions: 4-5pm, 6-7
children can design, create and wear their own ROYAL CROWNS and ROCK STAR sunglasses in the style of the exhibits.
Scavenger Hunt: 5-6pm will provide young people with a series of clues and questions, children will learn to look through "artists eyes" as a means of acquiring a deeper understanding of visual art.
