IFEL’s Next Level Conference

The Institute For Entrepreneurial Leadership (IFEL) has announced the finalists of the 5th Annual Business Plan Competition. Finalists will present their 3-minute investor pitch to a panel of esteemed judges at IFEL's Business Plan Competition Awards Luncheon. The winner of this year's Business Plan Competition will walk away with a prize package valued at over $30,000 in goods and services. Two of the five 2012 finalists are from Newark - here they are:

Inferno Limits Paintball and Laser Tag - a sports and recreation venue coming soon to Newark, NJ.
Tri Star Group - a faith-based organization dedicated to assisting the reentry population gain employment and access to guidance and essential life building resources.
Heart Juice - a specialty beverage with heart healthy ingredients that protects and strengthens the heart.
Jams by Kim - an artisanal food company that creates all natural fruity and savory jams, jellies and preserves.
Sweet Bottom Cookies - jumbo size specialty gourmet cookies made with premium ingredients and then dipped in a thick creamy fudge!

Bryan Janeczko, founder of WickedStart, a company dedicated to helping small business owners and early-stage entrepreneurs realize their dreams of starting and growing a business, will deliver the keynote address. Confirmed attendees at the Awards Luncheon include Mayor Cory Booker, Mayor Wayne Smith and New Jersey Devils owner, Jeff Vanderbeek.

The Business Plan Competition & Luncheon is part of the Next Level Conference, which is a full day event that kicks-off with six workshops that will help entrepreneurs and small business owners take their businesses to the next level. Workshops include Small Business Bootstrapping, The Reality of Social Media, Maximizing Resources: Collaborations for Non-Profits, Avoiding Burnout: Balancing Work/Family/Play, Becoming an Expert: The Micro-Niche Method, and Building a Strong Company Culture.
