It's inauguration day and there will be a lot of celebration in town.

12pm: Inauguration

NJPAC - 1 Center Street
Free & Open to the Public, first come, first served. All are welcome to come witness mayor-elect Ras J. Baraka take the oath of office as Newark's 40th Mayor. Newly elected Municipal Council Members will also be sworn in. Oaths will be administered by Former Governor and NJ Senator Richard J. Codey. If it you can't make it in person, you can watch it streaming at: http://beta.ci.newark.nj.us

TRAFFIC ADVISORY: The following streets will be closed downtown:
-Park Place from Raymond to Center Street
-East Park Street from Park Place to Mulberry St
-Center Street from Park Place to Mulberry St
