Ironbound Cleans Up

Members of the Ironbound Neighborhood Crime Watch organization and Councilman Augusto Amador and Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID) help clean-up and remove graffiti from the underpasses from South Street to Newark Penn Station along NJ Railroad Avenue.

The IBID supplied brooms, brushes, paint and more to help send a clear message to graffiti vandals that as a community the Ironbound won't stand by as they deface local streets.

Monica, a longtime Ironbound resident and homeowner, noted, "If we want people to know that this disrespect to our community is unacceptable, then people need to pitch in, take action and set standards when it comes to things like graffiti and litter."
