On May 1st - nearly 1000 volunteers were stationed throughout Newark volunteering for the day... they came individually and they came in groups; they came from Newark and they came from the burbs. Even companies like PSE&G and Home Depot sent their dutiful employees to spruce up school yards, paint murals, plant flowers, clean and so much more. It was a beautiful day and everyone was smiling for their day of good!
