Je’s Closing Their Doors
During this season of giving, the team at Newark Pulse and all of the people that love our city will be giving our last shout-outs and praise to an icon and an institution. On December 23rd, the family that is Je's will closing their doors for the last time.
Serving up some of the best food with the warmest smile and culture in the city, Je's has been THE place to break bread with family, friends, and associates in Newark. The Sutton Family and the staff that is the Je's Family, has put their heart and soul into making the business that our city has loved and appreciated for decades. When Harry Sr. lost Mrs. Sutton, the family carried on, serving hot plates of food that filled your body with everything right in the world.
Although we are sad on this day to relay this news, we are happy for a family that has given up so much so that we could enjoy the little things that makes Newark what it is. Whether it was a business lunch, breakfast after or before church, or dinner after leaving Symphony Hall, Je's was the place to make it happen. Whether your drink was from the bar or the "uptown" pitcher, Je's could wind you up or cool you down.
Now it is their time to unwind and let someone else take their order. There are many beats and rhythms in this city of ours. But Je's was truly the Pulse of Newark.
