Key Foods Now Open

On Tuesday, February 19, 2013, Mayor Cory A. Booker, South Ward Council Member Ras Baraka, BCDC CEO Lyneir Richardson, Koenig Management Principal Jeffrey Koenig, Aniya Foods LLC Co-owner Ray Ahmad, and other dignitaries cut the ribbon to open the new Key Food supermarket, at 531-551 Springfield Avenue, in Newark's South Ward. The 12,500 square-foot supermarket will bring quality and nutritious food shopping to this South Ward neighborhood, creating approximately 30 jobs for Newark residents.
