Last Weekend of Stadium of Screams

If you want a great family night out - stop by the Stadium of Screams for its final weekend at the Newark Bears stadium. It's open Friday through Monday (Halloween itself). It's definitely created for fans of all ages. You take a walk through the insides of the stadium - locker room, halls, kitchen, suites and more. Within the darkness - screams and surprises await with monsters and zombies popping out when you least expect it and following you quietly through the misty halls. I went through it twice - with teenagers and adults and unexpected squeals and screams were heard (and an occasional giggle). I would be cautious of any squeamish children under 5-6 years old. I did see a few come out teary-eyed and only making it halfway through (FYI: that didn't seem the norm). You go through in small groups - so I think if you get a younger family group I'm sure they'll quiet it down a bit.

The Stadium of Screams does a great job of creating a booby-trapped maze. Support a local venue trying to do something new and different in town.
