Neighborhood Watch Signs Go Up

Due to some crime issues in the area along Railroad Avenue near Penn Station there will be an expanding Neighborhood Block Watch Association. The Newark Police Department and the Ironbound Business Improvement District (IBID) have been help organize volunteers from around the neighborhood to participate in a Block Watch Program. And with the help from Edison Parking there will be new "Neighborhood Block Watch" Signs posted.

It is truly a community effort with Newark PD, IBID, Edison Parking, NJ Transit and Button Factory Condo Association joining forces. They are looking to keep the area free from graffiti, litter, light outages and more.
