New Series Jump features Newark’s elite Double Dutch Squad
April 10th, is the premier of Lifetime's all-new docu-series Jump! Jump is set here in Newark, featuring Newarkers doing amazing things.
The show chronicles the journey of one of the hottest jump roping teams in the country, Floyd-Little Double Dutch (FLDD), as they compete to defend their championship titles. Known as the face of Double Dutch, the team performed at the White House Easter celebration and opened up the 2014 BET Awards with Pharrell and Missy Elliot.
Each one hour episode of Jump! features coaches and best friends Quani Floyd and Laila Little as they whip their students into gear, working to uphold their status as world champions of Double Dutch. With 19 World Championships under their belt, the team is revered for their fancy footwork and one-of-a-kind tricks. It provides an inside look at the international competitive event and examines what it really takes to make it as the fiercest team in the country.
Laila Little says of the show, "It's so surreal. After 20+ years of double dutch, the world will finally become aware of our life in those 2 little ropes!" The show is produced by Think Factory Media, who found Little and Floyd and chose them out of all the Double Dutch teams in the country!
