Newark Art Parade 2010 Pics

Last Thursday, the Newark Art Parade kicked off Open Doors. The parade is a new tradition that started a few years ago by the Barat Foundation. It showcases the "Animodule" - these mythical creatures created by local students. These Newark originals have their unique story created by the children and are a unique icon for them.

The annual parade included animodules, students, local bands and more - they all marched on Broad Street towards Washington Park and the opening celebration of Open Doors at 33 Washington.
