NJ Cigar Festival

The first ever NJ Cigar Festival is coming to Newark on April 3 at the Newark Bears Stadium. The event organizers are husband/wife team of David Mallow and Bess Eckstein, who own Barrister Cigars in Union (off Rt. 22 West). They love the stadium as it offers a perfect outdoor venue for their event and are excited to add another event to the Newark Renaissance.

According to David, "The New Jersey Cigar Festival was the brainchild of a group of customers at the store who were upset about having to go to Pennsylvania or Manhattan for a chance to attend a large cigar festival. We wanted to bring the manufacturers to New Jersey - and what better place to do it than in NJ's largest city."

Since this is a first-time, no estimates can be given to number of attendees. But attendees will get a chance to meet the makers of their favorite cigars and learn more about them. Many of those manufacturers will even host open seminars throughout the day. Cigars will be on sale at a discount and lunch is included in the ticket price. Also if you get there early - there will be free hot towel shaves and chair massages.

In advance, tickets are $100 - General Admission; $175 VIP
At the door, tickets are $125, $200 VIP
