FRIDAY: 4-6PM: Newark Arts Parade
Starts: 765 Broad; ends: Washington Park. Spearheaded by the Barat Foundation, the parade features Animodulesâ„¢ (mobile art exhibits), marching bands, colorful hand designed banners and other vibrant components.
Thurs-Sun: Expo 33 @ 33 Washington
26,000 square foot available space will be host to over 70 artists and 10 exhibits under one roof. Open Doors kick-off Thursday.
FRI 5-10pm: Intersection @ Index & Kedar
featuring artists with studios at 31 Central and 585 Broad St. including: Marc Dos Santos, Daniel Brophy, Beatriz Burgoz, Spencer Frohwirth, William Oliwa, Hila Sela, Mustafa Muhamad, Kevin Merkel, Jerry Gant, Kati Vilim, Juan Gonzalez, German Pitre, Akintola Hanif, Paula Neto, Gavin Gewecke, Peter Tuomey, and Lisa Conrad.
FRI 5-10pm: Il Moderno @ One Gallery
this show contains six completely different disciplines, styles, and media all culminating around the idea of the modern eye seeing the most classical of compositions: the human figure.
SAT 6-9pm: Closing Reception: Reflections @ RAM Gallery
provides a mixed-media retrospective of the Lincoln Park Music Festival.
SUN 3-5pm: City Murals Trolly Tour
See six large-scale public murals created by artists and youth throughout Newark. Groups can meet outside location for tours.
