Open Doors 2013: Second Week

6-9PM HYCIDE Magazine 2nd AnniversaryThe issue features the documentary portraiture work of Akintola Hanif, Nema Etebar and world renowned photojournalist Jamel Shabazz. The party will include musical and dance performances.
SATURDAY, October 19
11-5PM Making the World's Largest Print @ Washington ParkPostponed from last weekend til this weekend. Come join the community create the largest print and go for a world record.
5-8PM Market Street Convergence
Culminating live performances and poetry reading drawn from the week-long public art project with poets Vincent Toro and Gretna Wilkinson along with Newark residents. Presented by Dodge Poetry Program, Gallery Aferro, and Newark Arts Council.
SUNDAY, October 20
12-2PM Creation Nation Art & Peace ParadeStarting at Teacher's Village and making its way down to Washington Park with marching bands, animodules and more!
6-8PM Closing Reception @ Kilkenny Alehouse
Join everyone upstairs at Kilkenny Alehouse following the day's festivities. View Intersection 2013 presented by Index Art Center while enjoying fantastic drink specials, live music, and your very special Newark Arts Community.
