Prudential Top 10 Place to Work for Working Moms
Working Mother Magazine's October/November 2013 issue names Prudential in the Top 10 for the The 100 Best Companies to work.Among the programs were Prudential's child care and adult care benefits, flexible work arrangements, and development opportunities. Prudential was also lauded for its benefits for new mothers. Coming back to work after having a baby can be tough -- something Prudential recognizes by allowing new moms and dads to take generous parental leave -- up to 26 job-guaranteed weeks off with two weeks fully paid. Most come back to work gradually or can potentially work from home (79% of employees telecommute each month).
Employees who adopt can receive up to $10,000 to cover related expenses on an unlimited number of eligible adoptions. The company also has lactation benefits, infant transition services, and eight on-site wellness centers that can support new moms and their families.
