Real Newark Wedding: Ryan & Marie
Ryan and Marie met in Philadelphia and then went their own ways; Marie to Africa and Ryan on a desert bike ride. They met again in 2005 to embark on a 1500 mile tour of the Northwest and with more experiences along the way they found their way to Newark and founded Folk Engineered (more to come on FE). The couple has been engineering custom bikes since 2009 here in Newark and helping to promote bike lifestyle. Aside from FE, Marie can also be found at a Newark-based non-profit, Project U.S.E. as a boat building instructor.
They wed in 2009 taking their wedding to the streets literally. Ryan and Marie wed in an open-air ceremony in a downtown cobblestone alleyway. The drizzle of the day didn't slow anything down; in fact the wedding was full of colorful and artistic details - handcrafted bouquet, decorations and can't forget the umbrellas. The couple and guests then celebrated with an afternoon tea in an awesomely eclectic loft with live music, tasty delights, and fun details.
It was followed by a bike tour through Newark - Ironbound, Halsey Street and more! What else would you expect from our bike-loving couple! We wish you miles of love and happiness.
