Rec Center Changes after Summer 2012

Recreation Centers will have delayed opening hours, beginning Tuesday, September 4, 2012, due to the start of the 2012-2013 school year. All recreation centers, except the John F. Kennedy Center, will open at 11:30am, Tuesdays through Fridays. The Kennedy Center will open at 9:30am.

In addition, all outdoor pools will close at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 1. The City's indoor pools, at the John F. Kennedy Aquatic Center and the Ironbound Aquatic Center, are year-round facilities, and will be open at their normal operating hours. A list of operating hours is provided below.

The fall public service schedule begins on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. All of the City's recreation centers will be closed on Sundays and Mondays and the operating hours at the recreation centers will be as follows:

- Boylan Recreation Center (West Ward)
Tues-Fri: 11:30am to 7:30pm; Sat: 9:30am to 5:30pm

- Ironbound Recreation/Aquatic Center (East Ward)
Tues-Fri: 11:30am to 7:30pm; Sat: 9:30am to 5:30pm

- John F. Kennedy Recreation/Aquatic Center (Central Ward)
Tues-Fri: 9:30am to 7:30pm; Sat: 9:30am to 5:30pm

- Rotunda Recreation Center (North Ward)
Tues-Fri: 11:30am to 7:30pm; Sat: 9:30am to 5:30pm

- St. Peter's Recreation Center (South Ward)
Tues-Fri: 11:30am to 7:30pm; Sat: 9:30am to 5:30pm
