Riverfront Park Extension Opening

This Saturday, August 3rd is the grand opening of a new extension of the Newark Riverfront Park. There are some great preview photos online with an orange boardwalk and more.

Come celebrate this Saturday starting at 9am at City Hall. Join people from across the city walk down to the newest segment of Riverfront Park. Carry a sign to represent your neighborhood or group. Supplies will be available to make them too. Wear orange in honor of the new orange boardwalk and stroll with musicians, dancers and more.

Then, starting at 11:30 and running through the evening - enjoy the Orange Party to open the park with Mayor Booker and County Executive, Joe D. DiVincenzo Jr with stepdancers, spoken word artists, jazz band, capoeiristas, face painters, double dutch jumpers and more!

At 12:30, they will dedicate "Song of the Passaic" mural. Come by and join the fun!
