Rutgers brings in National Writers

The Rutgers-Newark MFA (Master of Fine Arts) Program creates a bridge between the classroom and the real world with The Writers at Newark Reading Series - bringing nationally prominent writers of fiction, poetry and non-fiction to the campus. The Reading Series provides the opportunity for students, faculty, staff and the public to interact with these writers in a dynamic setting.

In conjunction with the series is a Reading Group at the Newark Public Library. The Reading Group is led by MFA Fellows Nancy Mendez-Booth and Britt Melewski and is an intimate and lively discussion group. There are 10 spots in the group - all members MUST commit to reading the books, and to coming to the 5 meetings and 4 readings.

Below is the Fall 2011 Schedule - All events are open to the public:
Tuesday evenings from 5:30-7:00 pm
Paul Robeson Gallery or the Multipurpose Room in the Paul Robeson Campus Center,
350 Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard, Newark NJ
