Science Park HS competes for Obama

Newark's Science Park High School is one of the six finalists nationwide for the White House's Commencement Challenge to get Obama to be their Commencement speaker.

Voters can watch three-minute videos about the schools and rate them from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest. Viewers are encouraged to rank the schools based on educational success, the ability of the school to engage students, and the success of the school in preparing students to graduate.

Voting ends next week. After that, the White House website says, "the three schools with the highest average ratings will be submitted to President Obama for final selection." After the Facebook donation - this would seem like a great year for a presidential ending!
