Slide the City is coming in August

Remember summers of your youth with a slip n' slide? You can relive it on August 20th when Slide the City comes to Warren Street in downtown Newark - a 1000 foot vinyl slide of wet, slippery fun! There will be live music, food, drinks, water, and of course the biggest slip and slide ever to hit asphalt.

The event is coming back to New Jersey after a successful event in West Orange (on June 4) thanks to Newark resident, Juan Silva, who has been working hard to make sure everything is in place by working with the city and state to make it happen. 

Slide the City tickets are on sale (more options available on June 29). There are a variety of tickets like a one-time ticket, 3-time ticket, and even an all-day pass. Children must be 5 years old and over 46 inches tall. There are three lanes:

• Single Sliders: One slider allowed at a time
• Family Lane: Parents with children can ride at the same time holding each others tubes
• Party Lane: for a bit more wild ride!
