Spotlight on Artisan Collective
If you're looking for an artistic, local and conscientious store - look no further than Halsey Street's newest tenant - The Artisan Collective - located below Michael Lamont at 25 Halsey Street. Their mission statement is a strong one for a store: "To utilize art as a means to galvanize and elevate the community."
The store is comprised of four permanent artisans and a wine lover as well four additional artisans that are displayed on consignment for a certain period of time - each with their own style and flavor. See photos below of why this will be the place to find your next gift.

Sew What: custom made hand bags made from recycled fabric and materials created by Jerrilee.
Twisted Elegance: designed by Siobain Hatchette who intricately creates unique wire-wrapped jewelry.
Kalluah Rulz: Jae Quinlan uses copper and hardware to create custom cufflinks and literally wears her art on her sleeve with hand-painted shirts.
Akirfa Design Studio: Saundra Toby-Heath uses mudcloth from Mali to beautify your home with wall hangings and door knob décor. She uses beads that contribute back to African communities as well.
And last but not the least - Divino Enterprises (aka Sipper's Delight Wine Tasting Social Club) founded by Burley Tuggle. She will host weekly wine tastings and education classes once a month.
In addition, you can find additional artisans that are on sale for a limited time. If you are interested in being a part of the collective call them to inquire about the consignment opportunity. At the store, you can now find hand-poured candles, crochet hats and more.
The space can even be rented out for events and will be host to future open mics, art events and unique events.
Although the store has been open for a few months, you can join in the celebration of the official Grand Opening this Sunday, August 12th from 5-10pm which includes a fashion show, live entertainment and more!
