Spotlight on Luxe

Luxe is a new women's clothing boutique on Halsey Street. It offers apparel ranging from size Small to 3x including lines such as Glam, Sacred Heart, Boxing Kitten and Ya. You will also find accessories, hats and more to finish your look. The boutique is modernly decorated and the owner Linda Jumah puts you at ease.

Linda is a Newark-native with Ghana roots. Before starting Luxe she primarily worked in the non-profit and public sector for many Newark area organizations like Quest Youth Services, Africa Newark, NAACP and more!

Why Halsey? Linda is enthralled by the Halsey Village community comparing it to a potential South Street in Philly or Washington Street in Hoboken. She wanted to fill a void with a place for a quick purchase of a dress or top at affordable prices.

To Linda, Newark still has a small town feel even though its the largest city in NJ. That was visible at her opening with attendees representing different ethnicities, age-groups and more. A true testament of Linda's passion! Stop by and check out her store.
