Spotlight on: TSM

TSM is certainly a diamond in the rough. Located on Bergen Street - a simple storefront opens to a treasure chest of fashion for both men and women and has everything from clothing to accessories and shoes.

Owner, Kiburi Tucker tell us why he opened, "I felt it was an opportunity to bring a change to my community. I always ride through Livingston and Montclair etc, and say to myself why can't we have these type of stores in my community? So i decided to do it myself." And so he has and with style.

TSM recently celebrated 4 years in the neighborhood and at the store, customers said they come often to see the new items Kiburi has brought in. He admits 4 years was not easy, according to him "it was very hard at the beginning I even shut the doors for about 5 months but I kept the faith and I believed that as long as I didn't give up, I wouldnt fail."

So has he seen a change in four years? "I can say that before TSM was established there was a lot of illegal activity in that immediate area but now we have created one of the safest parts of Bergen St and probably one of the most visited, by people from inside and outside of the community."
