Stadium of Screams 2012 Schedule

Tonight (October 18) is the Opening Night of Stadium Of Screams - the second annual Haunted Halloween event hosted at the Newark Bears Stadium.

They have a lot going on so here's the run-down:

Stadium of Screams

Stadium of Screams is a bone-chilling haunted attraction that features five separate indoor haunts, allowing fans to navigate through the team's clubhouse, dugouts, luxury suites and other areas of the ballpark-turned-haunted house.
Dates: October 18 - 21, 25 - 28 and 31
Time: 8pm to midnight.
Costs: There's free admission into the stadium, tickets for 5 haunts are $20-25 (normally $10/haunt). BUY TICKETS Online and save $5

Fun Halloween Activities

The Halloween event will also feature additional activities for kids and those kid at heart:
Carnival games: .25 to $1.00
Activities: Arts & Crafts: $1-10
Hay Rides: $5
Photo Booth (get eaten by zombies or butchered): $5-10

Mystery Dinners

Mystery dinners last between 45 and 90 minutes. Guests can choose from two packages. Packages include; dinner, beverage and choice of prizes (found from clues). Minimum of 10 people. MUST RSVP 48 hours in advance. $35-55/pp. More info.

Costume Contests

Dress in your favorite costume to win prizes on Saturday nights: 10/20, 10/27 and also Halloween 10/31.

Barkula: Gone to the Dogs

October 27th from 6-8pm the Stadium of Screams will be dog-friendly, allowing the dog to get in on the fun with a dog costume contest, ugliest dog contest and a talent competition. Please pre-register by October 22nd - including current shot All owners are response for disposing of poop and please leave biters at home. Pets aren't allowed in haunts or mystery dinners. Halloween AirBrush Make-Up

Schedule an appointment to have your Halloween make-up prepared by an Airbrush specialist. Reserve your appointment by emailing your contact info, requested date, time and idea of what you are seeking. Available during days/times of Stadium of Screams. Cash & The Dead Men Concert

Sponsored by the Kanek Skateshop on Halsey Street - Cash and the Dead Men will be performing on October 31st from 7pm-12am. The band, hailing from Newark, formed after Cash returned from his stint in the Afterlife.

Community Event

The Stadium of Screams is truly a community event with volunteers from Technology High and Newark Innovation Academy. There is also a strong internship team with students from Bloomfield College, Berkeley, Christ the Prep HS, Hackensack HS, NJCU, Rutgers Newark, Seton Hall and more.

Jersey Cares and the Newark Bears That Care Foundation are also running a costume drive. You can come by with old costumes and put them in the costume drop box to donate.
