Summer 2011: Wednesdays at Washington Park

Washington Park in downtown Newark is alive Wednesday afternoons from now until October 5th. Stay up-to-date with our weekly email to get updates every Tuesday of what's going on.

Each Wednesday from 12noon til 2pm you can find vendors selling fresh fruits and vegetables from NJ farms, local artisans and shops. Bring your own lunch or dine on tasty bites from bbq to fried foods and tex-mex (to come).

Tables, umbrellas and shady corners are available for all. Sit back, relax and enjoy the great variety of live entertainment.

From 12:45-1:15pm - check out the Hot Plates Chef Series - with local and celebrity chefs. It showcases recipes using food from local farms (on sale via farmer's market) and easy to make recipes.
