FRIDAY, July 25
Jazz/Tribute: 12-3pm
- Tribute to the late Amiri Baraka
- Celebration of Jazz: The NewArkestra
Newark Idol: 3-6pm
City Wide Youth showcase of dancers, rappers, singers and spoken word and celebrity judges (Def Jam Artist Big Kay, Los Angeles Sparks player Tamecka Dixon and actor Michael Williams).
Evening of Gospel: 6-9pm
An evening featuring local, regional and national recording gospel artists including Stefanie Minatee and Jubilation Choir, Kevin Fulmore & Praise Works, Kenny Bobien, Shaun L. Mills, Vincent Walker & Tyrone Ellis and River of Living Waters.
SATURDAY, July 26
Celebration of House: 12-9:30pm
Hosted by "The Legendary "Ms. Theresa Randolph and "Slaag Records Recording Artist "Mr. Eddie Nicholas" with special guests appearances.
Featuring DJ Teddy Douglas from Basement Boys, DJ Naeem Johnson, DJ Lou Gorbea, DJ Pookey, and DJ Barry B.
An Artist Showcase featuring Melba Moore, Byron Stingily, CeCe Rogers, Chinah Blac & Tia Holt. Live percussionists throughout the day featuring indigenous instruments from Brazil, West Africa, Peru and India.
SUNDAY, July 27
Hip Hop in the Park: 1-8pm
Hosted by Ed Lover & Sah B
Featuring Brand Nubian, Kazzie Pop, DJ Wallah of Hot 97, DMC Champion the legendary DJ Cheese and many surprise guests.
EVENTS IN THE PARK
All Days: Arts & Craft Vendors, Food Vendors, Health & Wellness Pavilion and Sustainable Market Place
Sunday: 10am-12pm: Hip Hop Yoga
Sat & Sun: 12pm-4pm: Skateboarding Clinic and free lessons (all equipment provided) for beginners. Advanced Free Skate after 4pm.
