Super Bowl Week 2014 Events
The Super Bowl teams rolled in yesterday - both the Broncos and the Seahawks staying in nearby downtown Jersey City. And the Big Game will be played just a few miles away at the Meadowlands - it is still left to be determined if New Jersey will benefit from traffic and attention. Regardless, there's plenty to participate in as a resident even without a ticket to the most sought after game.
JAN. 27: Live Music at Newark Airport
Newarkers will welcome incoming visitors with live music at Terminal A Shopping & Food Court from 3-7pm. Performing will be Peter Hadar, Maurice Chestnut, The Spookfish, & DJ Sienna Chanel.
JAN 27-FEB 2: Super Hudson Restaurant Week
Hudson Restaurant Week extends with a bonus week to celebrate the BIG Game nearby and their 10th Anniversary. Run by the company behind NewarkPulse.
Participating restaurants in Hoboken, Jersey City and Weehawken.
JAN 27: Super Bowl Kickoff Spectacular in Liberty State Park
Featuring Performances by Daughtry and the Goo Goo Dolls and Starring Macy's Fireworks along the Hudson River at Liberty State Park (Jersey City). Hosted by Fox Sports' Joe Buck and Erin Andrews, with special correspondent Platinum Recording Artist and Actress Jordin Sparks. It will be aired nationally on FOX from 8-9pm and again 2-3am. Free tickets are sold out.
JAN 28: Media Day at Prudential Center
During Media Day, fans will sit in the stands in the arena and watch thousands of media from around the world interview members of the participating Super Bowl teams on the floor. Fans will receive a Media Day gift bag that will include a radio to tune into the day's coverage on NFL Network and listen to some of the individual player interviews from the podium microphones' audio.

JAN 28: Newark's Largest Indoor Tailgate Party at Newark Museum
Following Media Day, the Newark Museum will host a football themed party with food & beverages, demos from celebrity chefs, the original Vince Lombardy Trophy, and more.

JAN 29-FEB 1: Super Bowl Boulevard (NYC)
Broadway between 34th & 47th Streets. The area includes: the Vince Lombardi Trophy, NFL players, you can kick a field goal through NFL uprights, Ride the 60"² foot toboggan ($5 per ride donated to MillionTreesNYC); Visit NFL sponsor displays and receive FREE giveaways!
