Super Tree Giveaway
The NJ Tree Foundation is planting 2,014 trees thanks to the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee. They have about 200 trees per county to help reforest the state.As a resident of Essex County, you may pick between an ornamental or large growing tree. But make sure you pick the right size, keeping in mind what size it will be when full grown. If yard space is limited, they recommend an ornamental tree (20'-30' at maturity).
For Essex County - fill out the application. You will have to pick up trees on 10/26 from 10am-3pm at 621A Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland, NJ.
On Saturday October 12th, 2013, 26 trees will be planted at Weequahic High School and Chancellor Avenue School in Newark with volunteers from both schools, including students, teachers, administrators, and the high school football team.
