Taco Truck comes to Newark
Jersey City's loss is our gain. Jersey City officials are in the process of changing the laws pertaining to food trucks, which implements rules that trucks need to move at least once an hour, need to be a certain distance from any brick and mortar restaurant and 100 feet from any other truck. That seems like a lot of rules, but because of them Newark gets a new truck: The Taco Truck is here! The Taco Truck got a taste of the Brick City by being a part of the NCAA tournament's Fan Fest in March and decided to come back for more.
We bumped into the Taco Truck last Wednesday on Washington Street across from the library downtown. The truck's offering varies by day but last week they were serving Pollo Asado, Chorizo con papas, Fish and Carnitas. They are all tasty. If you're unfamiliar with the truck - check out their website and menu online. The Taco Truck is looking to be somewhere downtown Wednesdays and Fridays. You need to follow-them on twitter to see where they'll be. They are also looking for suggestions in finding the right place downtown so tweet them and tell them.
The Truck is also a sponsor of Red Bulls Soccer - so you'll see them at the stadium for home games!
Welcome Taco Truck!
