Tonight: Aljira Art Auction

Tonight is Aljira's main fundraising event - their Fine Art Auction. All proceeds, whether you just purchase a ticket or purchase a work of art, benefit Aljira's exhibitions featuring under-reprsented artists, and programs such as Emerge, a professional development program for emerging artists, and Culture Creators, an art enrichment program for local youth.

The Aljira Fine Art Auction 2013 marks the beginning of year-long celebrations of the institution's 30 years as a beacon of creativity. Highlights of this year's event include a benefit etching edition donated by internationally renowned artist"”Aljira's long-time friend and major benefactor, Frank Bowling. Bowling created the etching, "Ahaahead!," to mark Aljira's 30th anniversary.
