Tree Lighting 2012 on Mt. Prospect Ave

Mount Prospect Partnership (MPP), in cooperation with North Ward Councilman Anibal Ramos, Jr.'s office, will host its third annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony on Thursday, December 13th from 4:30 p.m. till 6:00 p.m. Community members are invited to join the Partnership's local business and property owners as well as elected officials and other community representatives at 650 Mount Prospect Avenue for hot cocoa and holiday treats, DJ music, dancing and entertainment, free photos with Santa and performances of holiday carols by the Newark Boys Chorus.

The day's celebration will start at 1pm with visits to local schools by Santa, escorted by the Newark Fire Department. Free photos with Santa will start on Mount Prospect Avenue at 4:30pm, followed by the tree lighting ceremony at 6pm.
